How Can I Help?
There are many ways you can help from your own home!
To begin, address any obvious leaks in your home, such as dripping facets, pipes, and shower head that you can see. Many of these types of leaks can be addressed with a simple fix such as replacing a seal. If you have addressed all of your obvious leaks, the USEPA describes this quick way to see if your toilet is leaking.
Have you checked your water meter lately? If a family of four is using more than 12,000 gallons per month, you very likely have a leak. If you think your water bill is higher than usual, check oyur water meter. Write down the current reading, and make sure no water is used in your home for 2 hours. Check the meter again, and if the meter reading has changed, then you have a leak.
